    Sammanfattning : United Nations has lately stated ambitious health targets for 2030 in the Sustainable Development Goal agenda, following the already achieved progress between 1990 and 2015 when the number of children dying before the age of five was reduced by more than half.     Sammanfattning : The study examines rituals’ psychosocial functions for Swedish parents with experience of SIDS. Focus is on: the parents’ experience of religious rituals such as funerals; private indivudal rituals such as interaction with things belonging to the child; private collective rituals in the Swedish SIDS Society for parents who have lost an infant through SIDS (Spädbarnsfonden); and, informal and formal help support structures.     Sammanfattning : This thesis assesses the effectiveness of the National Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT) programme in 3 sites in South Africa, and the quality of infant feeding counselling across four countries, Botswana, Kenya, Malawi and Uganda .
