3. Analysis and Control Aspects of Brushless Induction Machines with Rotating Power Electronic Converters
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the steady-state, dynamic and control aspects of new type of brushless configuration of a doubly-fed induction machine in which the slip rings and carbon brushes are replaced by rotating power electronics and a rotating exciter. The aim is to study the stability of this novel configuration of the generator under mechanical and grid disturbances for wind power applications. LÄS MER
4. Measurements and Modelling of Low-frequency Disturbances in Induction Machines
Sammanfattning : in this thesis the low-frequency dynamic behavior of the induction machine is analyzed. disturbances in the shaft torque and supply voltage are investigated theoretically, The calculated response to shaft torque disturbances is verified with measurements on a 15 kW machine. LÄS MER
5. Analysis and Reduction of Parasitic Effects in Induction Motors With Die-Cast Rotors
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a study of inter-bar current effects on induction motors with die-cast aluminium and die-cast copper rotors. The parasitic effects introduced by these currents are analyzed and possible solutions to these problems are presented. This is realized by developing analytical tools for the simulation of inter-bar current effects. LÄS MER
