  1. 1. Retrofitting of old Exterior Wall with Vacuum Insulation Panels: Measurements of Thermal Properties, Moisture Performance and Practical Considerations

    Författare :Pär Johansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; hygrothermal sensor; listed building; transient plane source; retrofitting; indoor moisture supply; vacuum insulation panel; hygrothermal simulation; exterior wall;

    Sammanfattning : The building industry is facing one of its most challenging tasks ever. Until 2050 the energy use for heating of buildings should be decreased by 50% which means a large part of the building stock have to be retrofitted to become more energy efficient. One of the possible solutions is to add thermal insulation to the exterior wall of the buildings. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Indoor environment and recurrent wheezing in young children

    Författare :Gunnel Emenius; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :Child; asthma; allergy; wheezing; air pollution; NO2; indoor air quality; building construction; ventilation system; indoor humidity; house dust mites; damp buildings; moisture; moulds; prospective studies; child;

    Sammanfattning : Recurrent wheezing is one of the most common causes of morbidity and hospitalisation among infants and young children in many westernised countries. Respiratory infections and exposure to tobacco smoke have been identified as important risk factors. The indoor environment is also clearly of importance since we spend most of our time indoors. 3. 3. Air diffusion and solid contaminant behaviour in room ventilation : a CFD based integrated approach

    Författare :Gery Einberg; Sture Holmberg; hazim Awbi; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Technology; CFD modelling; airflow rate; ventilation efficiency; diffusers; solid contaminants; IAQ; TEKNIKVETENSKAP; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : One of the most fundamental human needs is fresh air. It has been estimated that people spend comparatively much time in indoor premises. That creates an elevated need for high-quality ventilation systems in buildings. The ventilation airflow rate is recognised as the main parameter for measuring the indoor air quality. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Thermal system analysis of embedded building integrated heating - Numerical model and validation of hydronic floor heating systems

    Författare :Henrik Karlsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; radiant heating; floor heating; low temperature hydronic heating; whole building thermal system analysis; Simulink modelling; Building integrated heating;

    Sammanfattning : A numerical simulation tool for building integrated heating (BIH) systems is developed. BIH is defined as a heat supply system that maintains the indoor thermal comfort within acceptable limits by means of a controlled heat supply to the inner of the building envelope/structure. LÄS MER
