  1. 6. Barn som riskerar att fara illa i sin hemmiljö : Utmaningar i ett förebyggande perspektiv

    Författare :Birgitta Svensson; Staffan Janson; Ulla-Britt Eriksson; Henrik Andershed; Carl-Göran Svedin; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Children at risk of maltreatment; Child abuse; prevention; pre-school; chronic health condition; disabilities; detection; support; Public Health Science; Folkhälsovetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : BaksidestextBarnmisshandel är ett omfattande folkhälsoproblem med långsiktiga negativa konsekvenser för den enskilda individen och för samhället i stort. Förebyggande insatser kan vara livsavgörande för de utsatta barnen. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Color Screening in QCD and Neutrinos from Singlino Dark Matter

    Författare :Dominik Werder; Gunnar Ingelman; Rikard Enberg; Roman Pasechnik; Hannes Jung; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; QCD; Diffraction; SCI; Dark Matter; Singlino; NMSSM; Indirect Detection; Fysik med inriktning mot elementarpartikelfysik; Physics with specialization in Elementary Particle Physics;

    Sammanfattning : Hard diffraction in proton collisions, where the initial state proton emerges from the interaction rather undisturbed despite a hard interaction scale, has been studied for a few decades. First observed in proton-proton collisions, the phenomenon is seen as well in deep inelastic electron-proton scattering (DIS) as a leading final state proton and a rapidity gap-region without final state particles. 3. 8. A Search for Dark Matter Lines with H.E.S.S. II

    Författare :Knut Dundas Morå; Jan Conrad; Christian Farnier; Christian Walck; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Dark Matter; Cherenkov Telescopes; Indirect Detection; fysik; Physics;

    Sammanfattning : Most of the matter in the universe, ~80% is thought to be dark matter- particles that have small or no interactions with standard model particles. Dark matter is an integral part of the current understanding of cosmology, and leaves signs in the movements of stars and galaxies, as well as the Cosmic Microwave Background. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Indirect Exploitation of Intellectual Property Rights By Corporations and Investors: IP Privateering & Modern Letters of Marque & Reprisal

    Författare :Thomas Ewing; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; equity; non-practicing entity NPE ; innovation system; unclean hands; indirect exploitation; Intellectual property IP ; patent troll; patent misuse; privateer; intellectual property right IPR ; patent; operating company; tortious interference; corporate formalism; antitrust; investor; competition;

    Sammanfattning : Competitive pressures and rent-seeking behaviors have motivated companies and investors to develop indirect techniques for beneficially exploiting third-party intellectual property rights (IPRs) that qualitatively depart from the slate of direct exploitation tools whose usage has been honed during the past 30 years of the pro-patent era. Companies have increasingly realized that they do not need to create IPRs themselves to exploit them beneficially, which has been the conventional usage pattern. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Methods for detection of HIV-2/SIV infections

    Författare :Lilian Walther Jallow; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : The main objective of this thesis was to develop and improve laboratory methods for detection of HIV-2 in infected humans and detection of HIV-2/SIV in experimentally infected cynomolgus monkeys. Early in the HIV epidemic no assays were commercially available for detection of HIV-2/SIV infections and laboratory testing often relied on cross-reactivity in the assays. LÄS MER
