11. A multi-objective evolutionary approach to simulation-based optimisation of real-world problems
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a novel evolutionary optimisation algorithm that can improve the quality of solutions in simulation-based optimisation.Simulation-based optimisation is the process of finding optimal parameter settings without explicitly examining each possible configuration of settings. 12. Elastoplasticity of Grey Cast Iron FE-Algorithms and Biaxial Experiments
Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on multiaxial elastoplastic behaviour of graphitic grey cast iron with the aim to provide physically appropriate and numerically reliable constitutive relations for use in FE-codes. To achieve this goal, this work is divided into three parts: Biaxial experiments are performed on thin cruciform specimens. LÄS MER
13. Data Stream Mining and Analysis : Clustering Evolving Data
Sammanfattning : Streaming data is becoming more prevalent in our society every day. With the increasing use of technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G networks, the number of possible data sources steadily increases. Therefore, there is a need to develop algorithms that can handle the massive amount of data we now generate. LÄS MER
14. Techniques for Efficient Constraint Propagation
Sammanfattning : This thesis explores three new techniques for increasing the efficiency of constraint propagation: support for incremental propagation, improved representation of constraints, and abstractions to simplify propagation. Support for incremental propagation is added to a propagator centered propagation system by adding a new intermediate layer of abstraction, advisors, that capture the essential aspects of a variable centered system. 15. Scheduling Garbage Collection in Embedded Systems
Sammanfattning : The complexity of systems for automatic control and other safety-critical applications grows rapidly. Computer software represents an increasing part of the complexity. As larger systems are developed, we need to find scalable techniques to manage the complexity in order to guarantee high product quality. LÄS MER
