1. Mellan policy och praktik : En studie om nyanlända elevers pedagogiska och sociala inkludering i skolan
Sammanfattning : The overall aim of the thesis is to investigate how schools’ formal and informal structures affect the pedagogical and social inclusion of newly arrived students, as well as how newly arrived students in grades 7-9 and school staff themselves understand and handle these structures. Formal structures refer to forms of pedagogical measures for newly arrived students. LÄS MER
2. Study of Non-metallic Inclusion in Alloy 825
Sammanfattning : It is well known that inclusions affect the properties of steels and alloys. Therefore, it is important to understand what type of inclusions that exist and how they behave and especially with a focus on large size inclusions. LÄS MER
3. Influence of microstructure on fatigue and ductility properties of tool steels
Sammanfattning : Fatigue and ductility properties in various tool steels, produced by powder metallurgy, spray forming or conventionally ingot casting, have been analysed experimentally and successfully compared to developed models. The models are able to predict the fatigue limit and cause for fatigue fracture, and strain- and stress-development until fracture during the ductile fracture process respectively. LÄS MER
4. Planning Models for Single Wire Earth Return Power Distribution Networks
Sammanfattning : The high cost of grid extension to rural areas, often characterized by scattered communities with low load densities, requires the use of low cost electrification technologies to ensure economic viability. In Single Wire Earth Return (SWER) power distribution networks, the earth itself forms the current return path of the single phase system leading to significant cost savings on conductors, poles and poletop hardware compared to conventional systems. 5. On the hosting capacity of distribution networks for solar power
Sammanfattning : The future will bring changes in energy production and consumption that will affect the performance of electricity distribution networks. Electric vehicle charging will increase consumption; the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) units will increase production. Both will change the energy flow and affect the power quality. LÄS MER
