Sammanfattning : Background: Being overweight is becoming the new normal, and more than half of the adult Swedish population is overweight which poses a risk to public health. Overweight and obese women have both an increased risk and a worse prognosis for breast cancer, compared with women of normal weight. LÄS MER
Sammanfattning : Ex-smokers are exposed to a higher breast cancer risk than are never smokers. This conclusion is based on a follow-up of the 10 902 women in the Malmö Preventive Project. The 31% higher incidence in ex-smokers remained statistically significant when other risk factors were taken into account in the analysis. LÄS MER
Sammanfattning : Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in Sweden, as well as worldwide. In Sweden, 8,288 women were diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2019, out of whom approximately 1.5% were younger than 35 years of age. LÄS MER
