  1. 6. Model catalysts studied by x-rays, visible and infrared light

    Författare :Stefano Albertin; Synkrotronljusfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; High Energy Surface X-ray Diffraction; X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy; oxidation; Pd 100 ; PdO; Ir 100 ; IrO2; in-situ; operando; Surface Optical Reflectance;

    Sammanfattning : This work is focused on the study of transition metal model catalysts for gas-phase heterogeneous catalysis, studied with light-based in-situ and operando techniques.Metallic model catalysts, such as Palladium (Pd) and Iridium (Ir) single crystals and in minor part deposited Rhodium (Rh), were studied using a combination of x-ray and non x-ray techniques. 2. 7. Applications of the Complex Modulation Transfer Function on SEA-systems

    Författare :Karl-Ola Lundberg; Teknisk akustik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; vacuum technology; hydraulics; Mechanical engineering; modulated noise; in-situ; modulation transfer function; loss factor; SEA; vibration and acoustic engineering; Maskinteknik; hydraulik; vakuumteknik; vibrationer; akustik;

    Sammanfattning : The SEA coupling and dissipation loss factors are determined in-situ from Complex Modulation Transfer Functions, CMTF:s, based on measured impulse-responses. A quotient of CMTF:s is least-square curve-fitted to a SEA model and the SEA loss factors are determined from the results of the curve-fit. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Use of remote sensing and in situ observations of the atmosphere in chemical transport models

    Författare :Emma Ward; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Climate; Air quality; Ground based observations; Satellite observations; Chemical transport modelling;

    Sammanfattning : Measuring and simulating atmospheric chemical compositions helps us to better understand the impact from long-range transport of different pollutants. Aerosols and tropospheric ozone are examples of pollutants with life times long enough to get transported between continents. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Cluster investigations of the extent and altitude distribution of the auroral density cavity

    Författare :Love Alm; Göran T. Marklund; Tomas Karlsson; Rickard Lundin; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Auroral density cavity; auroral accelaration; Cluster; in situ observation; electron density; pseudo altitude; Physics; Fysik;

    Sammanfattning : The auroral density cavity constitutes the boundary between the cold, dense ionospheric plasma and the hot, tenuous plasma sheet plasma. The auroral density cavity is characterized by low electron density and particle populations modified by parallel electric fields. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Mucins in normal and diseased airways

    Författare :Hans Hovenberg; Institutionen för experimentell medicinsk vetenskap; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Respiratory system; Submucosal glands; Goblet cells; Organ culture; Respiratory tract; Mucins; Mucus glycoproteins; Andningsorganen;

    Sammanfattning : Mucus glycoproteins (mucins) are the principal constituents of respiratory secretions in health and disease. The increased 'acidity' of mucin producing cells in the bronchitic airways is not reflected in a change of negative charge of bronchitic mucins. LÄS MER
