11. Kinetic investigation of LiMn2O4 for rechargeable lithium batteries
Sammanfattning : This thesis is concerned with kinetic characterisation of theinsertion compound LiMn2O4, which is used as positive electrodematerial in rechargeable lithium batteries. Three different typesof electrode configurations have been investigated, namely singleparticles, thin films and composite electrodes. Differentelectrochemical techniques, i.e. LÄS MER
12. Crystallization of Parabens : Thermodynamics, Nucleation and Processing
Sammanfattning : In this work, the solubility of butyl paraben in 7 pure solvents and in 5 different ethanol-water mixtures has been determined from 1 ˚C to 50 ˚C. The solubility of ethyl paraben and propyl paraben in various solvents has been determined at 10 ˚C. LÄS MER
13. Lithium Ion Conductive Membranes Based on Co-continuous Polymer Blends
Sammanfattning : There is a growing need for multifunctional polymeric materials for the development of several important energy conversion technologies. For example, the polymer electrolyte is a key component in lithium polymer batteries. The basic functions of this electrolyte are to efficiently conduct the lithium ions and physically separate the electrodes. LÄS MER
14. Molecular sieve films and zoned materials : synthesis and characterization
Sammanfattning : Molecular sieve films and colloidal particles have great potential for utilization in novel, technological sophisticated applications such as structured catalysts, sensors and membranes. The work in this thesis mainly concerns the synthesis of molecular sieve films and the crystallization of zoned MFI materials. LÄS MER
15. Adsorption and surface reaction properties of synthesized magnetite nano-particles
Sammanfattning : The surface chemistry of inorganic materials is of great significance in a number of industrially important processes such as separation of ore by flotation, catalysis, water purification, paper coating and pharmaceutical industry. The purpose of this study has been firsly to develop a method for optimal synthesis of magnetite nanoparticles and secondly to utilize these particles as adsorbent in order to investigate their adsorption/desorption properties.
