  1. 1. In-Hospital Cardiac Arrest : A Study of Education in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and its Effects on Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes among Healthcare Professionals and Survival of In-Hospital Cardiac Arrest Patients

    Författare :Marie-Louise Södersved Källestedt; Mats Enlund; Johan Herlitz; Jerzy Leppert; Eldar Søreide; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :cardiac arrest; cardiopulmonary resuscitation; in-hospital; healthcare professionals; education; multiple-choice questions; hjärtstopp; hjärt-lungräddning; sjukhus; sjukvårds¬personal; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigated whether outcome after in-hospital cardiac arrest patients could be improved by a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) educational intervention focusing on all hospital healthcare professionals. Annually in Sweden, approximately 3000 in-hospital patients suffer a cardiac arrest in which CPR is attempted, and which 900 will survive. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : It is a major clinical problem that survival rates after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest have not markedly improved during the last decades, despite extensive research and the introduction of new interventions. However, recent studies have demonstrated promising treatments such as targeted temperature management (TTM) and methylene blue (MB). LÄS MER

  3. 3. Cardiac arrest outside and inside hospital from a 30 year perspective in the Municipality of Gothenburg

    Författare :Martin Fredriksson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :cardiac arrest; heart arrest; mechanical chest compression; prognosis; out-of-hospital cardiac arrest; in-hospital cardiac arrest; Utstein; outcome; DNAR;

    Sammanfattning : Aims: 1:To describe the epidemiology of both out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) and in-hospital cardiac arrest (IHCA) in the Municipality of Gothenburg. 2:To describe the differences and similarities in cardiac arrest inside and outside hospital. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Circulatory Failure and Outcome in Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest

    Författare :Joachim Düring; Lund Institutionen för kliniska vetenskaper; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cardiac Arrest; Out-of hospital cardiac arrest; Circulatory failure; Survival; Copeptin; Lactate; Temperature management;

    Sammanfattning : Circulatory failure is considered one of the entities of the post cardiac arrest syndrome contributing to poor outcome. It is reported at 15-70% of all patients successfully resuscitated from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). LÄS MER

  5. 5. Predictors of survival in cardiac arrest

    Författare :Nooraldeen Al-Dury; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; cardiac arrest; cardiopulmonary resuscitation; predictors; survival; machine learning;

    Sammanfattning : Cardiac arrest (CA) refers to the cessation of cardiac function. Survival is around 30% for in-hospital cardiac arrest (IHCA), and 10% for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). LÄS MER
