  1. 1. Consequences of Traffic Casualties in Relation to Traffic-Engineering Factors - An Analysis in Short-term and Long-term Perspectives

    Författare :Monica Berntman; Trafik och väg; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Police and Hospital Data; Traffic Casualties; Consequences for Society and Individulas; in Short-term and Long-term Perspectives; Health Index; Traffic-Engineering Factors; ISS; Potential Traffic Safety Measures; Predictors; Road transport technology; Vägtransportteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The over-arching objectives of this thesis were to formulate a method to describe the consequences of traffic casualties, and to explain the influence of different traffic engineering factors on these consequences for society and individuals over time. A more detailed objective was to examine whether available short-term indicators can be used to predict consequences in a long-term perspective. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Treeline dynamics in short and long term perspectives : observational and historical evidence from the southern Swedish Scandes

    Författare :Lisa Öberg; Bengt-Gunnar Jonsson; Leif Kullman; Aage Paus; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :Betula pubescens ssp. czerepanovii; Picea abies; Pinus sylvestris; Larix sibirica; climate; Betula pubescens ssp. czerepanovii; Picea abies; Pinus sylvestris; Larix sibirica;

    Sammanfattning : Treelines in high-mountain regions are constrained by heat deficiency, although the working mechanisms are still not entirely understood. Observational and paleoecological studies on treeline performance may contribute to increased understanding of the treeline phenomenon in general. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Gender differences in perinatal morbidity and long term consequences of preterm birth

    Författare :Emma Elsmén; Lund Pediatrik; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; morbidity; neonatal; gender; IL-1ra; salivary cortisol; blood pressure; circulatory; mortality; obstetrical complications; ventilatory twins;

    Sammanfattning : Newborn male infants have higher morbidity and mortality than female infants. Male fetal gender is associated with an overall increased risk of preterm birth and complications related to pregnancy are overrepresented in women carrying male fetuses. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Hållbart utvecklingsarbete i vård och omsorg : Ett institutionellt perspektiv på projekt i en professionell och byråkratisk kontext

    Författare :Emanuel Åhlfeldt; Lennart Svensson; Daniel Persson-Thunqvist; Margareta Bredmar; Christian Jensen; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Sustainability; sustainable change; long-term effects; project organization; implementation; professionalism; new institutional theory; Hållbart utvecklingsarbete; långsiktiga effekter; projektorganisation; implementering; professionalism; nyinstitutionell organisationsteori;

    Sammanfattning : Det drivs många utvecklingsprojekt inom offentlig sektor, men det saknas kunskap om hur dessa projekt kan bidra till ett hållbart utvecklingsarbete. Syftet med avhandlingen är att förstå och förklara hur resultat och kunskap från utvecklingsprojekt kan integreras i den ordinarie verksamheten i offentliga organisationer och bidra till långsiktiga effekter, som har ett värde för brukarna, organisationen och de anställda. 5. 5. Improving our understanding of carbon cycling in agroecosystems by studying δ¹³C signatures in soil carbon stocks and fluxes : results from a Swedish long-term field experiment

    Författare :Lorenzo Menichetti; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Soil carbon (C) storage has gained much attention in the past decade due to its potentially huge impact on climate change mechanisms. Particular focus has been paid to possible feedback mechanisms, whether soil can be considered a sink or source of C and how soils can be managed in order to mitigate climate change. LÄS MER
