  1. 1. Development and Evaluation of Nonparametric Mixed Effects Models

    Författare :Paul Baverel; Mats Karlsson; Radojka Savic; Nils Hoem; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; nonparametric; model; pharmacometrics; pharmacokinetics; pharmacodynamic; imprecision; covariate analysis; parameter distribution; Statistics; computer and systems science; Statistik; data- och systemvetenskap; Pharmaceutical pharmacology; Farmaceutisk farmakologi; Biopharmaceutics; Biofarmaci; Clinical Pharmacology; Klinisk farmakologi; Computer Systems; Datorteknik; Farmakologi; Pharmacology; Statistics; Statistik;

    Sammanfattning : A nonparametric population approach is now accessible to a more comprehensive network of modelers given its recent implementation into the popular NONMEM application, previously limited in scope by standard parametric approaches for the analysis of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data. The aim of this thesis was to assess the relative merits and downsides of nonparametric models in a nonlinear mixed effects framework in comparison with a set of parametric models developed in NONMEM based on real datasets and when applied to simple experimental settings, and to develop new diagnostic tools adapted to nonparametric models. 2. 2. A data-driven decision support system for coherency of experts’ judgment in complex classification problems : The case of food security as a UN sustainable development goal

    Författare :Rueben Laryea; Kenneth Carling; Lena Nerhagen; Högskolan Dalarna; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Coherence; Efficiency; Decision Support System; Multi-Criteria; Risk; Classification Model; Decision Makers; Judgment; Alternatives; Prediction; Data; Integrate; Imprecision; Food Security; UTADIS; Complex Systems – Microdata Analysis; Komplexa system - mikrodataanalys;

    Sammanfattning : Everyday humans need to make individual or collective decisions. Often the decisions aim at achieving multiple goals (thus involving multiple criteria) and rely on the decision maker(s)’ intuition, internal data, as well as external sources of data. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Design of a Total-Reflection X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometer and Application to Periphyton Communities

    Författare :Patrik Pettersson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TXRF; microalgae; periphyton; total-reflection X-ray fluorescence spectrometry; sample preparation; environmental trace element analysis; nitric acid-hydrogen peroxide digestion; phytoplankton;

    Sammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis deals with the use of total-reflection X-ray fluorescence (TXRF) spectrometry for trace element analysis of periphyton. A TXRF spectrometer was designed and its performance was evaluated with a plankton reference material. For 12 .my. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Preference cloud theory : modelling imprecise preferences and a new theory for decision under risk

    Författare :Oben Bayrak; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : This study presents Preference Cloud Theory, a two-step model of decision making under risk. It also includes an experimental study on valuation gap which provides supporting results for the new theory. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Bilinear optimization in computational decision analysis

    Författare :Xiaosong Ding; Love Ekenberg; Ahti Salo; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Computer and systems science; Data- och systemvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : In real-life decision analysis, significant recognition has been given to theunrealistic expectation of numerically precise information. Many modernapproaches attempting to handle imprecision have focused more on representationand less on evaluation. LÄS MER
