11. Prehistoric human impact on wild mammalian populations in Scandinavia
Sammanfattning : This thesis aims to study the interactions of pre-agricultural societies in Scandinavia with wild mammals, for example in terms of hunting and translocation. More specifically, the aim is to investigate the possibility of identifying examples of overexploitation, targeted hunting or translocation of wild mammals in prehistoric Scandinavia, and to discuss the implications this could have had for both the wild animals and the humans. 12. Protein Yield and Protein Isolate Quality when applying pH-shift Processing on Cod, Haddock and Blue Whiting Fillets- Effects of Replacing Centrifugation with Filtration
Sammanfattning : A more sustainable fishery and a better utilization of the harvested fish raw material are currently of great importance to prevent overexploitation of our marine resources. Production of protein isolates to use for example as surimi has for many years been an important way of better utilizing low-value fish species and fish rest raw materials. LÄS MER
13. Environmental Impacts of Shared Mobility: Potential, Factors, and Assessments
Sammanfattning : Environmental impacts from passenger transportation continue to increase globally due to a rise in kilometers traveled and a shift to emission-intensive transportation modes (from public transportation and active modes such as walking and cycling to motorcycle and car ridership). The electrification of the passenger fleet, coupled with low-carbon energy sources, is expected to decrease some of the environmental impacts associated with passenger transportation, including local air pollution, greenhouse gas emissions and fuel depletion. 15. Food ingredients from cultivated seaweeds-Improving storage stability and protein recovery
Sammanfattning : There is a global demand for new vegetarian protein sources, and seaweed have for multiple reasons been identified as a promising candidate. The overall aim of this thesis was to evaluate the potential of three different Swedish seaweed species as food protein sources, but also as sources of unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins and minerals.
