  1. 21. Iodine Isotopes (129I and 127I) in the Baltic Sea   : Tracer applications & environmental impact

    Författare :Peng Yi; Ala Aldahan; Glen Snyder; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; radioactive 129I; stable 127I; AMS; iodine species; nuclear reprocessing facilities; tracers; Baltic Sea; circulation; water exchange; environmental impact;

    Sammanfattning : 129I is a radioactive isotope (T1/2= 15.7 million years) produced through natural and anthropogenic pathways, but the anthropogenic production is presently dominating the Earth’s surface environments. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Targeted and untargeted analysis of organic contaminants from on-site sewage treatment facilities : Removal, fate and environmental impact

    Författare :Kristin Blum; Peter Haglund; Patrik Andersson; Pim Leonards; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; decentralized sewage treatment; wastewater; surface water; environmental fate; bioavailability; removal efficiency; mass fluxes; biochar; environment; GC×GC-MS; LC-IM-MS; mass spectrometry; contaminants; pollutants; prioritization; non-target analysis; screening; analytisk kemi; Analytical Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : On-site sewage treatment facilities (OSSFs) are widely used all over the world to treat wastewater when large-scale sewage treatment plants (STPs) are not economically feasible. Although there is great awareness that the release of untreated wastewater into the environment can lead to water-related diseases and eutrophication, little is known about organic contaminants and their removal by OSSFs, environmental load and fate. 3. 23. Voltage sag ride-through of AC drives : control and analysis

    Författare :Kai Pietiläinen; Hans-Peter Nee; Olli Pyrhönen; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electronic measurement and instrumentation; Elektronisk mät- och apparatteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on controller design and analysis for induction motor (IM) drives, flux control for electrically excited synchronous motors with damper windings (EESMs), and to enhance voltage sag ride-through ability and analysis for a wind turbine application with a full-power grid-connected active rectifier. The goal is to be able to use the existing equipment, without altering the hardware. LÄS MER

  4. 24. New Perspectives on Analysis and Design of High-Speed Craft with Respect to Slamming

    Författare :Mikael Razola; Anders Rosén; Ermina Begovic; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Slamming; high-speed craft; finite-element analysis; design methods; experimental analysis; numerical simulations; design loads; statistical analysis; Vehicle and Maritime Engineering; Farkostteknik;

    Sammanfattning : High-speed craft are in high demand in the maritime industry, for example, in maintenance operations for offshore structures, for search and rescue, for patrolling operations, or as leisure craft to deliver speed and excitement. Design and operation of high-speed craft are often governed by the hydrodynamic phenomena of slamming, which occur when the craft impact the wave surface. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Tool Support for Enterprise Architecture Analysis : with application in cyber security

    Författare :Markus Buschle; Pontus Johnson; Stephan Aier; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Enterprise Architecture; Decision-making; Model-based analysis; Property analysis; Cyber security; Software tool; Design Science; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : In today’s companies, business processes and information technology areinterwoven. Old and new systems as well as off-the-shelf products and tailoredsolutions are used. This results in heterogeneous, often complex ITlandscapes. The impact of changes and the affected systems are difficult toidentify. LÄS MER
