21. Imaging Living Cells with an X-ray Laser
Sammanfattning : Imaging living cells at a resolution higher than the resolution of optical microscopy is a significant challenge. Fluorescence microscopy can achieve a degree of super-resolution via labeling cellular components with a fluorescent dye. LÄS MER
22. Characterization of [18F]flutemetamol binding properties : A β-amyloid PET imaging ligand
Sammanfattning : The criteria for diagnosing Alzheimer’s disease (AD) have recently been revised to include the use of biomarkers for the in vivo presence of β-amyloid, one of the neuropathological hallmarks of AD. Examples of such biomarkers are positron emission tomography (PET) β-amyloid specific ligands, including [18F]flutemetamol. LÄS MER
23. Preclinical Molecular Imaging using Multi-Isotope Digital Autoradiography - Techniques and Applications
Sammanfattning : Molecular imaging, both in vivo and ex vivo, is playing an increasingly important role in preclinical medical research. When using radionuclide-labeled tracers, e.g. in the development of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging or for radionuclide therapy, quantitative in vivo imaging can be performed using emission tomography. 24. Diffusion tensor magnetic resonance imaging of the brain : Tractography analysis with application in healthy individuals and patients
Sammanfattning : In study 1, thirty-eight healthy controls were used for optimization of the method. Fifteen patients with progressive supranuclear palsy and an equal number of age-matched healthy controls underwent diffusion tensor MRI and were then investigated and compared groupwise. LÄS MER
25. Non-invasive imaging for improved cardiovascular diagnostics : Shear wave elastography, relative pressure estimation, and tomographic reconstruction
Sammanfattning : Throughout the last century, medical imaging has come to revolutionise the way we diagnose disease, and is today an indispensable part of virtually any clinical practice. In cardiovascular care imaging is extensively utilised, and the development of novel techniques promises refined diagnostic abilities: ultrasound elastography allows for constitutive tissue assessment, 4D flow magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) enables full-field flow mapping, and micro-Computed Tomography (CT) permits high-resolution imaging at pre-clinical level.
