1. Image Analysis using the Physics of Light Scattering
Sammanfattning : Any generic computer vision algorithm must be able to copewith the variations in appearance of objects due to differentillumination conditions. While these variations in the shadingof a surface may seem a nuisance, they in fact containinformation about the world. LÄS MER
2. Efficient Methods for Volumetric Illumination
Sammanfattning : Modern imaging modalities can generate three-dimensional datasets with a very high detail level. To transfer all the information to the user in an efficient way there is a need for three-dimensional visualization. LÄS MER
3. Structured Laser Illumination Planar Imaging SLIPI Applications for Spray Diagnostics
Sammanfattning : Laser sheet imaging, also known as planar laser imaging, is one of the most versatile optical imaging techniques known and is frequently applied in several different domains. It furthermore constitutes the basis for a variety of other 2D methods, in turn allowing visualization of e.g. velocity, particle size, species concentration and temperature. LÄS MER
4. Colour in Enclosed Space Observation of Colour Phenomena and Development of Methods for Identification of Colour Appearance in Rooms
Sammanfattning : The main problems dealt with in this thesis are (1) how colours can appear in rooms due to various colour combinations and lighting conditions, and (2) how we can identify and compare colour appearance in rooms. One aim is to demonstrate and discuss the complex problem of how certain conditions in a room affect colour appearance, and to give examples and describe the co-operation between some of the affecting factors in experimental rooms.
