    Författare :Jan Karlsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; cellulose; fiber; ozone; polypropylene; graft polymerization; hydrogel; surface;

    Sammanfattning : Hydrogels are emerging materials that have the ability to hold a substantial amount of water. However, the low mechanical performance of hydrogels is often a limitation for extending the field of applications. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Nanofiber networks, aerogels and biocomposites based on nanofibrillated cellulose from wood

    Författare :Houssine Sehaqui; Lars A. Berglund; Ton Peijs; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Nanofibrillated cellulose; nanopaper; nanofiber; biocomposites; aerogel; foam; Materials science; Teknisk materialvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Nanofibrillated cellulose (NFC) from wood is an interesting material constituent of high strength and high aspect ratio, which easily forms networks through interfibril secondary bonding including hydrogen bonds. This has been exploited in preparation of new materials, which extend the range of properties for existing cellulosic materials. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Ethyl(hydroxyethyl)cellulose and Some Model Uncharged Polymers: A Calorimetric Study of Their Interaction with Surfactants in Aqueous Solution

    Sammanfattning : The interactions between uncharged polymers, e.g. ethyl(hydroxylethyl)cellulose (EHEC) and some model polymers, and ionic surfactants in aqueous solution has been studied by using isothermal titration and differential scanning calorimetry. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Bulk and interfacial properties of cellulose ethers

    Författare :Rasmus Bodvik; Per M. Claesson; Orlando J. Rojas; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : This work summarizes several studies that all concern cellulose ethers of the types methylcellulose (MC) hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC) and ethyl(hydroxyethyl)cellulose (EHEC). They share the feature of negative temperature response, as they are soluble in water at room temperature but phase separate and sometimes form gels at high temperatures. LÄS MER
