  1. 1. Cellulose Nanofibril-based Hybrid Materials : Eco-friendly design towards separation and packaging applications

    Författare :Luis Valencia; Aji Mathew; Olli Ikkala; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cellulose nanofibrils; hybrid materials; membranes; aerogels; separation; food packaging; Materials Chemistry; materialkemi;

    Sammanfattning : Nanocellulose has been lately considered as the “Holy-Grail” in the design of sustainable materials due to its bio-origin and an unprecedented combination of prominent features, including good mechanical properties, anisotropy and versatile surface chemistry. In addition, nanocellulose in the form of cellulose nanofibrils, can adopt variable structures and morphologies depending on the processing technique, such as aerogels, films and monoliths. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Interaction between Electromagnetic Waves and Localized Plasma Oscillations

    Författare :Jan-Ove Hall; Thomas Leyser; Jan Trulsen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Space and plasma physics; space physics; plasma physics; radio waves; ionospheric modification; density depleations; field-aligned irregularities; lower hybrid solitary structures; lower hybrid cavities; Z mode waves; magnetosonic waves; scattering; mode conversion; Rymd- och plasmafysik; Space physics; Rymdfysik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis treats interaction between electromagnetic waves and localized plasma oscillations. Two specific physical systems are considered, namely artificially excited magnetic field-aligned irregularities (striations) and naturally excited lower hybrid solitary structures (LHSS). LÄS MER

  3. 3. Chemical Pathways for Galactoglucomannan-based Materials

    Sammanfattning : Cellulosabaserade material är världens rikligast förekommande förnyelsebara råvara. Växters cellväggar är naturliga kompositmaterial där den kristallina cellulosan är inbäddad i en väv av hemicellulosa, strukturproteiner och lignin. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Quand les mots font image. Une lecture iconotextuelle de La Modification de Michel Butor

    Författare :Sonia Lagerwall; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Nouveau Roman; Michel Butor; La Modification; iconotext; ekphrasis; pictorialism; iconicity; emblem; emblematic mode;

    Sammanfattning : In the present dissertation, Michel Butor’s third novel, La Modification, published in 1957, is studied as an iconotext in which the images are conveyed by the verbal medium alone. Focusing on the relationships between verbal and visual elements in the novel, the study distinguishes three main categories of the verbal transformation of images: ekphrasis, pictorialism and iconicity.
