  1. 6. Cellulose Nanofibril-based Hybrid Materials : Eco-friendly design towards separation and packaging applications

    Författare :Luis Valencia; Aji Mathew; Olli Ikkala; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cellulose nanofibrils; hybrid materials; membranes; aerogels; separation; food packaging; Materials Chemistry; materialkemi;

    Sammanfattning : Nanocellulose has been lately considered as the “Holy-Grail” in the design of sustainable materials due to its bio-origin and an unprecedented combination of prominent features, including good mechanical properties, anisotropy and versatile surface chemistry. In addition, nanocellulose in the form of cellulose nanofibrils, can adopt variable structures and morphologies depending on the processing technique, such as aerogels, films and monoliths. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Hybrid Methods for Computational Electromagnetics in Frequency Domain

    Författare :Stefan Hagdahl; Björn Engquist; Lars Pettersson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Maxwell s equations; Geometrical Theory of Diffraction; Smooth Surface Diffraction; Boundary Element Method; Hybrid methods; Electromagnetic Scattering; Numerical analysis; Numerisk analys;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis we study hybrid numerical methods to be used in computational electromagnetics. The purpose is to address a wide frequency range relative to a given geometry. We also focus on efficient and robust numerical algorithms for computing the so called Smooth Surface Diffraction predicted by Geometrical Theory of Diffraction (GTD). LÄS MER

  3. 8. Hybrid methods for computational electromagnetics in the frequency domain

    Författare :Stefan Hagdahl; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Computational Electromagnetics; Hybrid Methods; Boundary Element Method; Geometrical Theory of Diffraction;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis we study hybrid numerical methods to be usedin computational electromagnetics. We restrict the methods tospectral domain and scattering problems. The hybrids consist ofcombinations of Boundary Element Methods and Geometrical Theoryof Diffraction.In the thesis three hybrid methods will be presented. LÄS MER
