21. Cyclic Sulfamide HIV-1 Protease Inhibitors : Design, Synthesis and Modelling
Sammanfattning : Ten years ago, the first protease inhibitor targeting the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) was approved for clinical use. Highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART), which combined protease and reverse transcriptase inhibitors, quickly became the standard therapy for treating patients infected with HIV and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). 22. Lexical and Acoustic Modelling of Swedish Prosody
Sammanfattning : Prosody and intonation are very important ingredients of human speech. In speech technology, text-to-speech (TTS) and automatic speech recognition (ASR) systems must incorporate prosodic models in order to reach acceptable performances. LÄS MER
23. From emission sources to human tissues: modelling the exposure to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances
Sammanfattning : Produced since the 1950’s, per- and polyfluoroalkyl (PFASs) substances are persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic compounds that are ubiquitous in the environment. Being proteinophilic with a tendency to partition to protein-rich tissues, PFASs have been found in human serum worldwide and in wildlife with a predominance of long-chain perfluoroalkyl carboxilic acids (C7-C14 PFCAs) and perfluoroalkyl sulfonic acids (C6-C9 PFSAs). 24. Pull based production systems : performance, modelling and analysis
Sammanfattning : This doctoral thesis addresses performances, modelling and analyses of pull based production systems. The thesis consists of four main parts: a literature review, a comparison study of Kanban and CONWIP, an industrial practical case study, and the development of a new tool used for presentation and analysis of simulated performance results. 25. Modelling manufacturing systems capability
Sammanfattning : Any way of making the manufacturing industry more efficient is always of great interest due to the contribution of manufacturing to the society. A major asset within manufacturing is information about manufacturing systems, as a base when making decisions. LÄS MER
