  1. 11. Combined solar and pellet heating systems for single-family houses : How to achieve decreased electricity usage, increased system efficiency and increased solar gains

    Författare :Tomas Persson; Per Lundqvist; Simon Furbo; Högskolan Dalarna; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Pellet; pelleteldning; kamin; panna; solvärmesystem; varmvattenberedning; systemutformning; småhus; elbesparing; verkningsgrad; emissioner; rökgasförluster; skorstensförlust; diskmaskin; tvättmaskin; Thermal energy engineering;

    Sammanfattning : In Sweden, there are about 0.5 million single-family houses that are heated by electricity alone, and rising electricity costs force the conversion to other heating sources such as heat pumps and wood pellet heating systems. Pellet heating systems for single-family houses are currently a strongly growing market. LÄS MER

  2. 12. A Sociological Approach to Indoor Environment in Dwellings : Risk factors for Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) and Discomfort

    Författare :Karin Engvall; Dan Norbäck; Eva Sandstedt; Göran Strid; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Medicine; Indoor environment; Questionnaire; Atopy; Building age; Indoor air quality; Sick building syndrome SBS ; Validation; Dwelling; Energy conservation; Mechanical ventilation; Building dampness; Building reconstruction; Wood heating; Electric heating; Heat pump; Thermal Insulation; Sealing; Medicin; Dermatology and venerology; clinical genetics; internal medicine; Dermatologi och venerologi; klinisk genetik; invärtesmedicin; arbets- och miljömedicin; Occupational and Environmental Medicine;

    Sammanfattning : The principal aim was to study selected aspects of indoor environment in dwellings and their association with symptoms compatible with the sick building syndrome (SBS). A validated questionnaire was developed specifically for residential indoor investigations, using sociological principles and test procedures. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Structural sound transmission and attenuation in lightweight structures

    Författare :Lars-Göran Sjökvist; RISE; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; sound insulation; acoustics; wooden houses; Fourier transform; lightweight building; stiffened plate; junction; stiffeners; flanking transmission; attenuation;

    Sammanfattning : Everyone wants a peaceful and quiet home, but in noisy cities it is a challenge to create such homes. New building techniques are mostly introduced for other purposes than noise control -- stability, economy, heat transfer and so on. LÄS MER

  4. 14. High temperature aerosol formation and emission minimisation during combustion of wood pellets

    Författare :Henrik Wiinikka; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energiteknik; Energy Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Combustion of solid biomass under fixed bed conditions is a common technique to generate heat and power in both small and large scale grate furnaces (domestic boilers, stoves, district heating plants). From both an environmental and economical perspective, one of the most interesting alternatives to replace oil and electricity for heating of family houses and apartments in Sweden is wood pellets made of stem wood sawdust from pine and spruce.
