  1. 6. Self-consistency and the GW-approximation

    Författare :Bengt Holm; Matematisk fysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Matematisk och allmän teoretisk fysik; thermodynamics; Spectral Function; Greens functions; Self-energy; classical mechanics; Mathematical and general theoretical physics; Quasiparticle.; quantum mechanics; relativity; statistical physics; gravitation; klassisk mekanik; kvantmekanik; relativitet; statistisk fysik; termodynamik; Fysicumarkivet A:1997:Holm;

    Sammanfattning : The effects of self-consistency in the GW-approximation are studied. The $GWA$ is known to describe the electronic properties of a wide range of materials very well. However, the calculations made so far have not taken into account the issue of self-consistency, which is implied in the original formulation of the $GWA$. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Workplace Incivility : Investigating bystander behavior, well-being, and coping responses to perceived incivility

    Författare :Kristoffer Holm; Institutionen för psykologi; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Workplace Incivility; Bystander; Social Learning Theory; Coping; Workplace Behavior; Well-Being;

    Sammanfattning : Workplace incivility has been found to be a ubiquitous phenomenon, with adverse effects for individuals, organizations and society. Over the past two decades, substantial research efforts have been made to increase knowledge about workplace incivility, including investigations of its targets and perpetrators. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Aquaporins in Infection and Inflammation

    Författare :Angelika Holm; Elena Vikström; Karl-Eric Magnusson; Vesa Loitto; Jonas Wetterö; Mikael Rhen; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The ability of eukaryotic cells to change their shape and to migrate directionally is highly dependent on active volume regulation in cells building up tissues as well as in individual cells. Transmembrane fluxes of water via specialized water channels, called aquaporins (AQPs), facilitate the changes of volume and shape, which additionally require a complex interplay between the plasma membrane and the cytoskeleton. 5. 10. Identification and characterization of new mechanisms in cardiovascular estrogen signaling

    Författare :Anders Holm; Kärlfysiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; endothelial cells; vascular smooth muscle cells; estrogen; GPR30 GPER1; inflammation; calcium; neovascularization; microtubule;

    Sammanfattning : Women before menopause are protected from cardiovascular disease compared to age-matched men through mechanisms associated with the female sex hormone estrogen. There are three known estrogen receptors named ERα, ERβ and GPR30/GPER1, which are all three receptors are expressed in the cardiovascular system. LÄS MER
