    Sammanfattning : This dissertation investigates how history is used in historical documentary films, and argues that the maker of such films constantly negotiates between cognitive, moral, and aesthetic demands. In support of this contention is discussed a number of historical documentaries by Swedish historian-filmmakers Olle Häger and Hans Villius. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : in 1999 the Swedish Parliament decided to provide economic compensation to victims of involuntary sterilization, and in 2012 a similar law was enacted to redress neglect and abuse in foster homes and orphanages. This study explores the dilemmas that arise with reparations for past injustices, focusing on the process leading up to the reparation laws. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : How did the Swedish towns compare to the surrounding world during the late Middle Ages concerning town organization and political culture? Previous research has claimed a strong German influence on the Swedish town life, but in this dissertation the Europeanization is being put forward as the explanatory factor for the extensive international similarities that can be identified during the Middle Ages.     Sammanfattning : Sweden has an enormous treasure in its vast number of large-scale historical maps from a period of 400 years made for different purposes, that we call map series. The maps are also very time and regional dependent with respect to their concepts. A large scanning project by Lantmäteriverket will make most of these maps available as raster images. LÄS MER

Avhandlingen handlar om barnavårdsavdelningen inom Svenska fattigvårds- och barnavårdsförbundet och den reformpolitik som fördes inom avdelningen under 1920- och 1930-talen – det vill säga det tidevarv då den den svenska välfärdsstaten formerades.
