2. Ägare och kapital : Klass och genus hos kapitalägare i Sverige 1918-1939
Sammanfattning : Avhandlingen är en fallstudie som undersöker praktiker av klass och kön hos kapitalägare i Sverige under perioden 1918-1939, utifrån exempel från två av tidens mäktigaste familjer: Broström och Wehtje. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten är ett försök att ur ett intersektionellt perspektiv förena en klassanalys utifrån Eric Olin Wrights modell med Bourdieus begrepp socialt och kulturellt kapital, kombinerat med analyser av genus framför allt inspirerade framför allt av Raewyn Connells begrepp hegemonisk maskulinitet och analyser av rasism utifrån Robert Miles begrepp rasifiering. Sammanfattning : Var går gränsen för vilka avvikelser från samhällets grundvalar som kan tolereras? När så kallade pietister framträdde i Sverige vid 1700-talets början uppstod en ny problematik kring toleransens gränser i Sveriges historia. Sammanfattning : The thesis explores the meaning and function of tears in Roman political culture during the Republic and the Early Empire in various historical settings: mourning, the law court, and in different political contexts where power, authority, and subjection were expressed or exercised. This is carried through by reading representations of weeping in Greek and Latin literary works in different genres, written by different authors. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : Emotions at War: Sensibility and emotional strategies among Swedish officers, 1788-1814 This thesis studies the relationship between the emotional sufferings of Swedish officers in wartime during the period 1788-1814 and the various mental strategies they employed in order to deal with those sufferings. The study is positioned within the field of research commonly refered to as the history of emotions, and draws methodological inspiration from the concept of ”emotional narratives”, as defined by Peter Goldie.
