  1. 1. Anchorage in Concrete Structures : Numerical and Experimental Evaluations of Load-Carrying Capacity of Cast-in-Place Headed Anchors and Post-Installed Adhesive Anchors

    Författare :Rasoul Nilforoush; Lennart Elfgren; Norbert Randl; Karin Lundgren; Manouchehr Hassanzadeh; Richard Malm; Lars-Erik Persson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Headed anchor; Anchor bolt; Adhesive anchor; Concrete cone breakout; Concrete splitting; Pullout loading; Size effect; Member thickness; Anchor head size; Orthogonal surface reinforcement; Concrete Strength; High-strength concrete; Cracked concrete; Steel fiber-reinforced concrete; Sustained loading; Creep behavior; Structural Engineering; Konstruktionsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Various anchorage systems including both cast-in-place and post-installed anchors have been developed for fastening both non-structural and structural components to concrete structures. The need for increased flexibility in the design of new structures and strengthening of existing concrete structures has led to increased use of various metallic anchors in practice. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Moisture Conditions in High Performance Concrete. Mathematical Modelling and Measurements

    Författare :Kristina Norling Mjörnell; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; concrete; cement; relative humidity; desorption isotherm; moisture condition; moisture transport; high performance concrete; degree of reaction;

    Sammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis has been focused on developing a model to calculate the moisture conditions in concrete of low water/binder ratio (W/B) which is normally used in high performance concrete. To do this, the moisture conditions in high performance concrete have been studied, from a very early age. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Hydrophobic Impregnation of Concrete Structures : Effects on Concrete Properties

    Författare :Anders Selander; Johan Silfwerbrand; Jan Trägårdh; Mårten Janz; Andreas Gerdes; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; hydrophobic impregnation; silane; siloxane; concrete; surface treatment; water repellent agent; building protection; impregnering; betong; silan; siloxan; ytbehandling; Civil engineering and architecture; Samhällsbyggnadsteknik och arkitektur;

    Sammanfattning : Hydrophobic impregnations often referred to as water repellent agents, today mainly consisting of alkylalkoxysilanes, are often used on concrete to prolong the service life of the structure. This is accomplished by protecting the reinforcement bars from chlorides or by changing the moisture content inside. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Quasi-instantaneous and Long-term Deformations of High-Performance Concrete with Some Related Properties

    Författare :Bertil Persson; Avdelningen för Byggnadsmaterial; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Shrinkage; Relative humidity; Long-term; Hydration; High-Performance Concrete; Elastic modulus; Deformations; Creep; Concrete; Cement; Quasi-instantaneous; Strength; Building construction; Byggnadsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This report outlines an experimental and numerical study on quasi-instantaneous and long-term deformations of High-Performance Concrete, HPC, with some related properties. For this purpose about two hundred small cylinders and about one thousand cubes of eight types of HPC were cast. The age at loading varied between 18h and 28 days. LÄS MER

  5. 5. High-performance and self-compacting concrete in house building. Field tests and theoretical studies of possibilities and difficulties

    Författare :Markus Peterson; Avdelningen för Byggnadsmaterial; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Multi-storey residential buildings; Structural frames; SCC; Self-compacting concrete; High-performanceconcrete; HPC; Concrete; Building materials; Cast in-situ concrete;

    Sammanfattning : Cast in-situ concrete is the most frequently used materials technology worldwide within production of structural frames in multi-storey residential buildings. In Sweden, this technology dominates the market but is challenged by other competitive production methods. LÄS MER
