  1. 1. Essays on International Trade : Theory and Evidence on the Determinants and Implications of Firms' Import Behaviour

    Författare :Evangelia Pateli; Rikard Forslid; Anders Åkerman; Philippe Martin; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; international trade; extensive margins of trade; international sourcing; hierarchical sorting; information spillovers; devaluations; intermediate import dependence; Economics; nationalekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis aspires to further contribute to our understanding of both the determinants as well as the implications of intermediate goods trade. 2. 2. Real-Time GPU Algorithms: Parallel Primitives and Rendering of Participating Media

    Författare :Markus Billeter; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; grids; indirect illumination; shafts of light; multiple scattering; stream compaction; single scattering; parallel primitives; GPGPU;

    Sammanfattning : Modern graphics processing units, GPUs, present an immense resource of computational power, that however remains challenging to fully harness. This thesis explores four algorithms and methods that attempt to take full advantage of the resources provided by a GPU. LÄS MER

  3. 3. The mutational landscape and microenvironment in myelodysplastic syndromes with deletion of chromosome 5q

    Författare :Christian Scharenberg; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) with deletion of chromosome 5q (del(5q) are malignant bone marrow disorders characterized by macrocytic anemia, chronic transfusion dependency and an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia. A high proportion of patients with lower-risk del(5q) myelodysplastic syndromes will respond to lenalidomide treatment, but more than 40% of patients have progressed to acute leukemia five years after starting treatment.
