The thesis deals with various aspects of heat transfer and energy use in infrared heaters and dryers as employed in the paper industry.     Sammanfattning : Combustion of solid fuels is used extensively for electricity generation purposes. However, combustion of fossil fuels leads to CO2 emissions which enhance the greenhouse gas effect.
