    Sammanfattning : Internet has been available for the public during the past thirty years, and is perceived as having radically changed the terms of LGBTQ peoples’ possibilities of connecting with one and other, especially for LGBTQ people in rural spaces.     Sammanfattning : Den här avhandlingen tar sin utgångspunkt i äldre lhbtq-personers livsberättelser för att undersöka erfarenheter och betydelser av att leva och åldras som lesbisk, homosexuell, bisexuell, transperson eller queer. Äldre lhbtq-personer har levt och åldrats i tider där könsidentiteter och sexualiteter som går på tvärs med heteronormativiteten har varit kriminaliserade, patologiserade och många gånger framstått som avvikande.     Sammanfattning : Background: Trans issues have received increased attention over the last couple of years and important changes have been made in the legislation relating to gender reassignment and in trans-specific healthcare practices.
