    Sammanfattning : This dissertation deals with a selection of Latin Lives of Irish saints, most of which belong to the so-called ‘O’Donohue Lives’, which have earlier been dated to no later than the mid-ninth century. The present thesis deals partly with the dates not of that group as a whole, but with several of the individual Lives; a couple of Lives which do not belong to the O’Donohue group have been included as well.     Sammanfattning : The original forests of the central and northern highlands of Ethiopia are almost entirely confined to the “sacred groves” surrounding the churches and monasteries of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church. In Ethiopian tradition sanctity starts from the Tabot on the altar of the church and extends to the outer periphery of the compound. LÄS MER

The purpose of the study is to investigate the history of the Onuphrius text in the Slavic hagiographic tradition and to publish a critical edition of the Slavic text.The Life of Onuphrius circulated widely throughout the entire Christian world.     Sammanfattning : The present study deals with the works of John Rufus, disciple of Peter the Iberian at Gaza. There are three works preserved from him, composed in Greek at the turn of the sixth century, and preserved in Syriac: the Life of Peter the Iberian, the Commemoration of the Death of Theodosius, and the Plerophories.
