  1. 1. Involvement of Homologous Recombination in Response to Different Qualities of DNA Damage

    Författare :Gunilla Olsson; Mats Harms-Ringdahl; John Thacker; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Toxicology; Toxikologi;

    Sammanfattning : The present studies aimed at elucidate the role of homologous recombination (HR) for the repair of different qualities of DNA damages and/or changes in chromatin structure induced by a variety of radiation qualities.Radiation qualities used to expose cells in culture ranged from non-ionizing radiation with extremely low frequency (ELF), of energies too low to disrupt chemical or molecular bonds, to radiation qualities with energies able to induce ionizations and break chemical bonds. Sammanfattning : The study engaged a total population of 16-17-year-old urban high-school students and 2300 (93%) were screened for depression and previous suicide attempts. Adolescents with high depression scores in self-evaluation (12.3%) or reporting previous suicide attempts (2. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Mass Conserving Simulations of Two Phase Flow

    Författare :Elin Olsson; Gunilla Kreiss; Stig Larsson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; free boundary; two phase flow; level set method; conservative; Numerical analysis; Numerisk analys;

    Sammanfattning : Consider a mixture of two immiscible, incompressible fluids e.g. oil and water. Since the fluids do not mix, an interface between the two fluids will form and move in time. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Promoting health in premature infants : with special focus on skin-to-skin contact and development of valid pain assesment

    Författare :Emma Olsson; Mats Eriksson; Agneta Anderzen-Carlsson; Gunilla Ahlsén; Carina Sparud Lundin; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Near-infrared spectroscopy; Neonatal intensive care; Pain assessment; Premature infant; Skin-to-skin contact;

    Sammanfattning : Premature infants are at greater risk for both short- and long-term negative outcomes than infants born at full term. Premature infants have an immature nervous system and are not developmentally prepared to process the often excessive stimuli and frequent painful procedures of intensive care. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Movement and experimentation in young children's learning : Deleuze and Guattari in early childhood education

    Författare :Liselott Olsson; Gunilla Dahlberg; Marianne Bloch; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; preschool; subjectivity; learning; movement; experimentation; micropolitics and segmentarity; transcendental empiricism; event; assemblages of desire; Pedgogical work; Pedagogiskt arbete;

    Sammanfattning : This study departs from experiences made in a setting where preschool children, teachers, teacher students, teacher educators and researchers in the Stockholm area in Sweden have been collectively experimenting with subjectivity and learning since the beginning of the 1990’s. However, during later years, questions were raised in the context of cooperative work about the changes that have been achieved so far, possibly becoming new and somewhat rigid ‘mappings’ of young children and learning.
