11. Red Glass Coloration : a Colorimetric and Structural Study
12. Using Light to Probe Surface Electrochemical Processes
Sammanfattning : This thesis shows how various light-based in situ techniques can be used to follow different surface electrochemical processes such as electrochemical deposition into Nanoporous Anodic Aluminium Oxide (NP-AAO) templates and the surface structure of electrodes. Techniques based on both x-rays and visible light were used to follow surface structures and compositions, in situ. LÄS MER
13. Development of Nanoimprint Lithography for Fabrication of Electrochemical Transducers
Sammanfattning : This thesis gives an overview about the current status of nanoimprint lithography, a relatively new nanofabrication tool. The technology is capable for parallel mass production of nm-structured features having a resolution below 10 nm and is usable with high throughput on full wafer scale. LÄS MER
14. BIOACTIVE ORGANOMETALLIC COMPOUNDS
Sammanfattning : Various metal complexes have been used in medicine traditionally, although their use was often connected with mystery and with a lack of empirically (clinically) proven effect. In modern times, the development of biochemistry, bioinorganic and bioorganometallic chemistry allows us more in-depth understanding of biological action of metal containing substances. LÄS MER
15. Interfacial Properties of Biomacromolecular Model Systems: Surface Forces and Nanotribology
Sammanfattning : The nanotribology, adhesion and related interfacial properties of biomacromolecular systems have been studied. The aim was to elucidate the role of physisorbed and chemically grafted bio-polymers implicated as mediators for cellulose based processing and material design. LÄS MER
