16. Forecasting Indian Road Traffic Casualties: Guidance to Prioritize Road Safety Technologies and Regulations
Sammanfattning : India accounts for 11% (nearly 150,000) of global road traffic deaths and its fatality rate is 22.6 per 100,000 people, almost three times higher than that of the European region. India is committed to reducing fatalities and has signed the Stockholm declaration to halve the fatalities by 2030. LÄS MER
17. Truck Steering System and Driver Interaction
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a compilation of methods to consider when mapping steering functions and results as vehicle dimensions change. It is concluded that some final tuning inevitably will be required as major changes are performed. It is however possible to create qualified starting points using a set of simple rules as presented. 18. Exploring technologies for service provision in automotive winter testing
19. Simulator-Based Design : Methodology and vehicle display application
Sammanfattning : Human-in-the-loop simulators have long been used in the research community as well as in industry. The aviation field has been the pioneers in the use of simulators for design purposes. In contrast, corresponding activities in the automotive area have been less widespread. LÄS MER
20. Computational Verification Methods for Automotive Safety Systems
Sammanfattning : This thesis considers computational methods for analysis and verification of the class of automotive safety systems which support the driver by monitoring the vehicle and its surroundings, identifying hazardous situations and actively intervening to prevent or mitigate consequences of accidents. Verification of these systems poses a major challenge, since system decisions are based on remote sensing of the surrounding environment and incorrect decisions are only rarely accepted by the driver.
