11. Modelling Climate Policy – Trade-Off Metrics, Resource Markets, and Uncertainty
Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of five papers related to climate change policy. In paper I andpaper II we discuss the use of Global Warming Potentials (GWPs) that facilitate the tradeoffbetween abatement of the different greenhouse gases (GHGs). LÄS MER
12. Libertarianism and Climate Change
Sammanfattning : In this dissertation, I investigate the implications of libertarian morality in relation to the problem of climate change. This problem is explicated in the first chapter, where preliminary clarifications are also made. LÄS MER
13. Carbon sequestration processes in tropical seagrass beds
Sammanfattning : Seagrass meadows may play a substantial role in climate change mitigation as they are capable to sequester and store substantial amounts of anthropogenic carbon in plant biomass and, more importantly, in their underlying sediments. In this PhD thesis, the carbon-burial potential was assessed by quantifying the amount of organic carbon stored in different seagrass meadows, each dominated by one of the four major seagrass species in the Western Indian Ocean region. 14. Climate Change and Industrial Technology Transfer. A Study of Chinese Conditions
Sammanfattning : Motivated by concerns about anthropogenic climate change, this thesis contributes to the better appreciation of mechanisms that would allow actors in China, foreign as well as Chinese, to exert a positive influence on the country's industrial technology status. China is the world's second largest emitter of greenhouse gases - the lions' share of which emanates from industrial and electricity production. LÄS MER
15. A methodology to assess impacts of energy efficient renovation : a Swedish case study
Sammanfattning : The European Union aims to reduce energy use and CO2-emissions by 40 % by the year 2030. The building sector has been identified as having a great potential to reduce emission of CO2 by increasing its energy efficiency. LÄS MER
