6. Aqueous graphene dispersions for paper packaging
Sammanfattning : Graphene is widely touted as the thinnest and the most versatile material available. As an atomically thin layer of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal configuration, graphene has a combination of technologically important properties, such as thermal and electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, and impermeability to gases. 7. Surface modification of inorganic materials with graphene oxide : From solution to high-temperature synthesis
Sammanfattning : The use of graphene as an additive in materials is often challenging due to the agglomeration of the two-dimensional graphene sheets. An alternative additive is graphene oxide (GO), an oxidized form of graphene, which is easily dispersed in water. LÄS MER
8. Solution-Processable Conductive Graphene-Based Materials for Flexible Electronics
Sammanfattning : This thesis work explores electrical conductors based on few-layer graphene flakes as an enabler for low-cost, mechanically flexible, and high-conductivity conductors in large area flexible and printed electronic devices. The flakes are deposited from aqueous solutions and processed at low temperature. LÄS MER
9. Electron transport properties of graphene and graphene field-effect devices studied experimentally
Sammanfattning : This thesis contains experimental studies on electronic transport properties of graphene with the Aharonov-Bohm (AB) effect, thermopower (TEP) measurements, dual-gated graphene field effect devices, and quantum Hall effect (QHE). Firstly, in an effort to enhance the AB effect in graphene, we place superconducting-metal (aluminium) or normal-metal (gold) mirrors on the graphene rings. LÄS MER
10. Controlling Electronic and Geometrical Structure of Honeycomb-Lattice Materials Supported on Metal Substrates : Graphene and Hexagonal Boron Nitride
Sammanfattning : The present thesis is focused on various methods of controlling electronic and geometrical structure of two-dimensional overlayers adsorbed on metal surfaces exemplified by graphene and hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) grown on transition metal (TM) substrates. Combining synchrotron-radiation-based spectroscopic and various microscopic techniques with in situ sample preparation, we are able to trace the evolution of overlayer electronic and geometrical properties in overlayer/substrate systems, as well as changes of interfacial interaction in the latter.
