11. The relation between microstructure and mechanical properties of cobalt- and nickel-rich Co-Ti-C and Ni-Ti-C alloys
Sammanfattning : Age-hardening processes up to l000°c which might be important in the binder phase of the Co-Ti-C and Ni-Ti-Chard metal systems have been studied mainly by high voltage electron microscopy, (HVEM), optical microscopy (OM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) as well as by micro-and macrohardness measurements and tensile testing at room and elevated temperatures (500°-800°). In addition, the allotropic transformation of cobalt has been followed by X-ray diffraction in order to permit a more complete interpretation of the changes in microstructure reflected in the mechanical testing. 12. Development of high performance aluminium alloys tailored for powder bed fusion-laser beam
Sammanfattning : The powder bed fusion-laser beam (PBF-LB) process has lately been regarded as a top choice for creating complicated structures which are not possible via conventional manufacturing. Nevertheless, the pace of alloys for PBF-LB has been slower. LÄS MER
13. Laser-based powder bed fusion of stainless steels
Sammanfattning : The aim of the present work has been to widen the knowledge of how variations within powder manufacturing affect laser-based powder bed fusion processing, and how this processing affects the microstructure and strength of stainless steels. The approach was to keep the processing parameters fixed while the powder feedstock was varied. LÄS MER
14. Weld Cracking of Precipitation Hardening Ni-based Superalloys - Investigation of repair welding characteristics and susceptibility towards strain age cracking
Sammanfattning : High temperature resistance and strength requirements make nickel-based superalloys the material of choice for the hot section of aero engines. Fabrication in terms of combining wrought and cast parts in the manufacturing of hot structural components enables component optimisation via the use of wrought high-strength parts, where geometrical constraints allow, and cast parts to produce complex geometries. 15. Structure and properties of FeAl as influenced by processing
Sammanfattning : Iron aluminides are candidate materials for a sustainable society since they are composed of abundant metals and have excellent corrosion properties in combination with high specific strength. However, there are some drawbacks that limit the practical use, e.g. low RT ductility and a drop in strength at high temperature. LÄS MER
