  1. 1. Numerical simulation of shape rolling

    Författare :Stanislav Riljak; Stefan Jonsson; Peter Gudmundson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; shape rolling; wire-rod rolling; finite-element method; generalized plane-strain; dislocation density; material model; Other materials science; Övrig teknisk materialvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : In the first part of this thesis, the FE program MSC.Marc is applied for coupled thermomechanical simulations of wire-rod rolling. In order to predict material behaviour of an AISI 302 stainless steel at high strain rates generated during wire-rod rolling, a material model based on dislocation density is applied. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Modeling framework for ageing of low alloy steel

    Författare :Magnus Boåsen; Pål Efsing; Jonas Faleskog; Carl F. O. Dahlberg; Christian Niordson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Low alloy steel; length scale effects; size effects; plasticity; cleavage fracture; brittle fracture; weakest link; ageing; weld metal; Hållfasthetslära; Solid Mechanics;

    Sammanfattning : Ageing of low alloy steel in nuclear applications commonly takes the form as a hardening and an embrittlement of the material. This is due to the evolution of the microstructure during irradiation and at purely thermal conditions, as a combination or separate. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Degradation of thermo-elastic properties in damaged composite laminates : a theoretical study

    Författare :Peter Lundmark; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Polymera konstruktionsmaterial; Polymeric Composite Materials;

    Sammanfattning : Fiber composites are today widely used in different load carrying structures. The main reason is their high stiffness and strength to weight ratio. Due to these specific properties they are frequently used in car, marine and space industry. LÄS MER
