    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Adolescent; anxiety; assessment; prevalence; comorbidity; parenting; oxytocin; gene–environment interaction; differential susceptibility; Child and Youth Psychiatry; Barn- och ungdomspsykiatri;

  2. 2. Predictors of Alcohol Misuse : Role of MAOA Genotype, Methylation, Transcription, and Negative and Positive Environmental factors

    Författare :Megha Bendre; Kent Nilsson; Erika Comasco; Ingrid Nylander; Mia Ericson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Alcohol; AUD; MAOA; methylation; expression; early-life stress; maltreatment; parent–child relationship; gene–environment interactions.; Medicinsk vetenskap; Medical Science;

    Sammanfattning : Alcohol misuse is a risk factor for alcohol use disorder (AUD). Gene-environment interactions contribute to the risk or resilience for AUD. A functional polymorphism in the promoter of the monoamine oxidase A gene (MAOA-uVNTR), in interaction with negative environment (Eneg), is associated with alcohol misuse and AUD. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Depressive Symptoms Among Adolescents and Young Adults : Psychometrics and the Influence of Family Environment, and Candidate Gene–environment Interactions

    Författare :Rebecka Keijser; Cecilia Åslund; Susanne Olofsdotter; Kent W. Nilsson; Mats Humble; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; diathesis stress; differential susceptibility; early life stress; FKBP5; OXTR; parenting;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aims of this thesis were to evaluate the psychometric properties of a questionnaire designed to evaluate parenting styles, and to study how depressive symptoms among adolescents and young adults may vary depending on the family environment and candidate gene–environment interaction (cG×E).The study sample consisted of participants (born during 1997 or 1999), and their caregivers from the Survey of Adolescent Life in Västmanland Cohort Study. 4. 4. Genetic studies on childhood asthma and allergy : role of interactions

    Författare :Erik Melén; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :Air pollution; asthma; allergy; BAMSE; child; environment; epistasis; GPR-A; genetics; haplotype; heredity; interaction; polymorphism; wheezing;

    Sammanfattning : The occurrence of asthma and allergic diseases is influenced by inherited and environmental factors, and symptoms of asthma and allergy usually begin in early childhood. The overall aim with this thesis was to study the role of genetic factors for the development of childhood asthma and allergy, and to evaluate potential interaction between genetic and environmental factors.
