  4. 4. Dynamics of the glomerular filtration barrier - Physiological and pathophysiological aspects

    Författare :Josefin Axelsson; Njurmedicin; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Glomerular filtration barrier; Glomerular permeability; Microalbuminuria; Albumin; Ficoll; Sieving Coefficient; Rats;

    Sammanfattning : The dynamic properties of the glomerular filtration barrier (GFB) are of fundamental importance for the understanding of the physiology and pathophysiology of microalbuminuria and proteinuric diseases. In the studies of this doctoral thesis the properties of the rat glomerular filtration barrier were investigated under resting conditions and following a number of challenges using highly sensitive gel filtration chromatography (HPSEC) detection of FITC-Ficoll in serum and urine. 5. 5. Galactoglucomannan recovery from softwood spent sulfite liquor: Challenges, process design and techno-economic evaluations

    Författare :Basel Al-Rudainy; Institutionen för kemiteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Galactoglucomannan; Lignin; Lignosulfonates; Lignin-carbohydrate-complexes; Membrane filtration; Dead-end filtration; Precipitation; Adsorption;

    Sammanfattning : In the production of pulp and paper, water-soluble components, such as hemicellulose, monosaccharides, and lignin, are released and accumulate in the process water. The process water is usually concentrated and incinerated for heat generation and the recovery of pulping chemicals, such as in the Kraft and sulfite processes. LÄS MER
