21. Numerical Modeling of Turbulent Combustion and Flame Spread
Sammanfattning : Theoretical models have been developed to address several important aspects of numerical modeling of turbulent combustion and flame spread. The developed models include a pyrolysis model for charring and non-charring solid materials, a fast narrow band radiation property evaluation model (FASTNB) and a turbulence model for buoyant flow and flame. 22. Modelling and Experimental Investigations on Thermal Radiation in Combustion Environments
Sammanfattning : Thermal radiation is an important physical phenomenon in combustion environments. For the understanding of existing- and the design of new combustion environments computational modelling is a useful tool as it can describe the different transport phenomena. LÄS MER
23. Ion recombination in liquid ionization chambers : development of an experimental method to quantify general recombination
Sammanfattning : An experimental method (the two-dose-rate method) for the correction of general recombination losses in liquid ionization chambers has been developed and employed in experiments with different liquids and radiation qualities. The method is based on a disassociation of initial and general recombination, since an ionized liquid is simultaneously affected by both of these processes. LÄS MER
24. Laser-Plasma Sources for Extreme-Ultraviolet Lithography
Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the development and characterizationof a liquidxenon- jet laser-plasma source forextreme-ultraviolet (EUV) radiation. It is shown how thissource may be suitable for production-scale EUV lithography(EUVL). LÄS MER
25. Mass spectrometry of biopolymers based on ion-induced desorption
Sammanfattning : Various aspects of biopolymer molecular characterization by their molecular masses havebeen studied, with emphasis on ion-induced desorption and time-of-flight mass Spectrometry(TOF MS). Limitations of the average-isotopic mass concept, as well as the utility ofaccurate monoisotopic mass measurements for deriving amino-acid and elementalcompositions, are discussed. LÄS MER
