16. SOFC Modeling Considering Mass and Heat Transfer, Fluid Flow with Internal Reforming Reactions
Sammanfattning : Fuel cells are promising for future energy systems, since they are energy efficient and, when hydrogen is used as fuel, there are no emissions of greenhouse gases. Fuel cells have during recent years various improvements, however the technology is still in the early phases of development. LÄS MER
17. Fundamental Mathematical Modeling of Gas Injection in AOD Converters with Emphasis on the Inlet
Sammanfattning : The overall purpose of the present work has been to developa novel mathematical model of the gas injection in the AODconverter process, based on fundamental transport equations. The model development was divided into two major steps, wherethe first step involved modeling of gas injection through acylindrical nozzle at high gas flow rates (the nozzle model). 18. Modelling of Mass and Heat Transport in Paper - Evaluation of Mechanisms and Shrinkage
Sammanfattning : In this work a one-dimensional model for the mass and heat transport in the thickness direction of paper has been developed. Solid-based coordinates were applied to simplify incorporation of shrinkage. Liquid diffusion, gas convection and vapour and air diffusion were incorporated as mass transport mechansims. LÄS MER
19. Laser Diagnostics and Chemical Modeling of Combustion and Catalytic Processes
Sammanfattning : The H2+1/2O2 H2O reaction on hot platinum surfaces has been studied. A stagnation flow geometry was used with a gas mixture of H2 and O2 at subatmospheric pressures. LÄS MER
20. The rule of hydrogen and rare earth metals in the formation of protective metal-oxides
Sammanfattning : The effects of hydrogen and rare earth metal (REM) additionson the oxidation behavior of metals and alloys that formchromia, alumina and zirconia in 20 mbar O2and/or H2O have been investigated at elevated temperatures. The metal-gas reactions were studied by the use of isotopicallylabeled gas in combination with mass spectrometry and bymeasuring changes in the total pressure in a closed reactionchamber.
