16. The geology and genesis of lead-zinc veins in Sweden
Sammanfattning : The geology and genesis of Pb-Zn-bearing vein deposits in Sweden have been studied through investigations of their geological setting, vein and alteration mineralogy, wall rock geochemistry, lead and sulfur isotope composition and sphalerite composition, and through thermometric measurements on fluid inclusions from selected veins. The investigated deposits include Subjotnian veins from Älvdalen, Dalslandian veins from Dalsland and Värmskog, Caledonian quartz and calcite veins, Devonian deposits in the Siljan Ring structure, and Variscan veins in SE Scania. 17. Geometallurgy of a complex ore : Lappberget Zn-Pb-Ag-(Cu-Au) deposit, Garpenberg mine, Sweden
Sammanfattning : Complex ores, in this instance, a polymetallic base metal ore with additional precious and penalty elements, pose particularly tough challenges for successful production forecasts. Plant performance and recoveries for complex ores are more difficult to predict due to the larger number of variables that must be considered, tracked, and characterized during the multi-stage separation process. 18. Multielemental analysis of geological and biological samples using laser ablation ICP-SFMS
Sammanfattning : The analytical performance of laser ablation (LA) for multielemental determination of geological and biological samples has been investigated. In the present study, LA has been used for sample introduction in inductively coupled plasma sector field mass spectrometry (ICP-SFMS). LÄS MER
19. Multi-element analysis of environmental samples using LA-ICP-MS : method developments with emphasis on calibration strategies
Sammanfattning : Analytical applications based on the use of laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-sector field mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-SFMS) have shown great potential for both quantitative and qualitative determination of elements in a variety of materials, although the weak point is finding a suitable calibration approach. The major focus of this work has, therefore, been internal standardisation and calibration. LÄS MER
20. Antimony recovery from complex copper concentrates through hydro- and electrometallurgical processes
Sammanfattning : Today, one of the major difficulties confronted during copper metallurgy is the elimination of antimony and arsenic impurities from the process. This is because the pure copper ore reserves are becoming exhausted and the resources of unexploited ores often contain relatively high amounts of antimony and arsenic. LÄS MER
