1. Financial performance measurement supporting the transition towards circular business models
Sammanfattning : Financial performance measurement plays an important role in leading decision-makers through strategic innovation, such as business model innovation. To convey relevant information, it is important that the practices used to measure financial performance are appropriate to what is being measured. LÄS MER
2. Child Support Law in California and Sweden : a Comparison Across Welfare State Models
Sammanfattning : Ensuring just distribution of and adequate funding for children whose parents do not live together is a global legal challenge. It affects many families as well as every legal jurisdiction’s welfare state and family law. LÄS MER
3. Towards microscopic models for bicycle traffic simulation
Sammanfattning : As bicycling becomes an integral part of sustainable mobility, it becomes essential to enhance planning strategies that ensure bicycling as an efficient mode of transport. While traffic simulation has been extensively utilized for traffic planning of various modes of transport, this type of modeling support is largely lacking in the planning of bicycle traffic. LÄS MER
4. Bayesian Models for Spatiotemporal Data from Transportation Networks
Sammanfattning : Urbanization has caused a historical transformation at a global scale, and humanity is moving towards a fully connected society where cities will concentrate population, infrastructure and economic activity. A key element in the cities’ infrastructure is the transportation system, as it facilitates the mobility of people and goods. LÄS MER
5. Uncertainty Estimation in Models of Multivariate Trait Evolution on Given Phylogenies
Sammanfattning : Phylogenetic comparative methods are a set of statistical methods that model the evolutionary history of species, especially in the context where one has data on certain traits of related extant species that have evolved over a phylogenetic tree in accordance to an underlying stochastic process. This thesis presents a Hessian-based closed-form asymptotic confidence region that covers a wide family of Gaussian continuous-trait evolution models; the result has been implemented in an R package.
