  1. 1. Computer methods for voice analysis

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : KTH

    Författare :Svante Granqvist; KTH.; [2003]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; voice analysis; perceptual analysis; fundamental frequency; correlogram; aperiodicity; Fourier analysis; high-speed imaging; laryngoscopy; vocal fold vibration; voice accumulation.; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of five articles and a summary. Thethesis deals with methods for measuring properties of thevoice. The methods are all computer-based, but utilisedifferent approaches for measuring different aspects of thevoice.Paper I introduces the Visual Sort and Rate (VSR) method forperceptual rating of voice quality. 2. 2. Mobile Satellite Broadcast and Multichannel Communications analysis and design

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : KTH

    Författare :Cristoff Martin; KTH.; [2005]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Signalbehandling; communications; satellite broadcast; mobile; MIMO; asymptotic analysis; spatial multiplexing; Signalbehandling; TECHNOLOGY Information technology Signal processing; TEKNIKVETENSKAP Informationsteknik Signalbehandling;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, analytical analysis and design techniques for wireless communications with diversity are studied. The impact of impairments such as correlated fading is analyzed using statistical models. Countermeasures designed to overcome, or even exploit, such effects are proposed and examined. LÄS MER

  3. 3. G-Convergence and Homogenization of some Sequences of Monotone Differential Operators

    Detta är en avhandling från Östersund : Mittuniversitetet

    Författare :Liselott Flodén; Mittuniversitetet.; [2009]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; G-convergence; Homogenization; Multiscale convergence; Two-scale convergence; Monotone opertors; Functional analysis; Partial differential equations; MATHEMATICS Algebra; geometry and mathematical analysis Mathematical analysis; MATEMATIK Algebra; geometri och analys Analys;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis mainly deals with questions concerning the convergence of some sequences of elliptic and parabolic linear and non-linear operators by means of G-convergence and homogenization. In particular, we study operators with oscillations in several spatial and temporal scales. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Real-Time Workload Models Expressiveness vs. Analysis Efficiency

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Martin Stigge; Uppsala universitet.; Uppsala universitet.; [2014]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Real-time systems; task models; EDF; fixed-priority scheduling; schedulability analysis; response-time analysis; abstraction refinement; Datavetenskap med inriktning mot realtidssystem; Computer Science with specialization in Real Time Systems;

    Sammanfattning : The requirements for real-time systems in safety-critical applications typically contain strict timing constraints. The design of such a system must be subject to extensive validation to guarantee that critical timing constraints will never be violated while the system operates. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Numerical Computations with Fundamental Solutions

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Per Sundqvist; Uppsala universitet.; Uppsala universitet.; [2005]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; fundamental solution; partial differential equation; partial difference equation; iterative method; preconditioner; boundary method; Numerical Analysis; Numerisk analys;

    Sammanfattning : Two solution strategies for large, sparse, and structured algebraic systems of equations are considered. The first strategy is to construct efficient preconditioners for iterative solvers. The second is to reduce the sparse algebraic system to a smaller, dense system of equations, which are called the boundary summation equations. LÄS MER
