11. Studies on implementation of digital filters with high throughput and low power consumption
Sammanfattning : In this thesis we discuss design and implementation of frequency selective digital filters with high throughput and low power consumption. The thesis includes proposed arithmetic transformations of lattice wave digital filters that aim at increasing the throughput and reduce the power consumption of the filter implementation. LÄS MER
12. The ubiquitous signal processing : Applications to communications, spectral analysis and array processing
Sammanfattning : This dissertation is concerned with statistical signal processing and its applications. The thesis consists of three parts: I) applications to wireless communications, II) applications to spectral analysis and III) applications to array processing. LÄS MER
13. Ferroelectric domain engineering and characterization for photonic applications
Sammanfattning : Lithium niobate (LiNbO3) and KTiOPO4 (KTP) are ferroelectric crystals of considerable interest in different fields of optics and optoelectronics. Due to its large values of the nonlinear optical, electro-optic (EO), piezoelectric and acousto-optical coefficients, LiNbO3 is widely used for laser frequency conversion using the quasiphase matching (QPM) approach where the sign of nonlinearity has been periodically modulated by electric field poling (EFP). 14. Design and Analysis of Nonmagnetic Specular Radar Absorbing Materials
Sammanfattning : The design and analysis of specular radar absorbing materials are investigated throughout the dissertation. Although the topic has been investigated for more than 60 years by many researchers and numerous designs have been proposed, still many technical challenges are remained unanswered. The basic questions are, e.g. LÄS MER
15. Photoelectron spectroscopy in the vicinity of a core-ionization threshold
Sammanfattning : The fundamental interaction between photons and free molecules/atoms has been studied by means of soft x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Special interest has been paid to the non-resonant and resonant processes in the vicinity of a core-ionization threshold. LÄS MER
