6. Haemodialysis Treatment Monitored On-line by Ultra Violet Absorbance
Sammanfattning : This thesis describes and evaluates an optical method utilizing ultra violet (UV) absorbance for on-line monitoring of haemodialysis treatment. Increased efficiency of haemodialysis treatment is considered to correlate to decreased morbidity and mortality when urea clearance (Kt/V) is elevated. LÄS MER
7. A passage to wastewater nutrient recovery units : Microalgal-Bacterial bioreactors
Sammanfattning : In recent years, the microalgal–bacterial process has been considered to be a very attractive engineering solution for wastewater treatment. However, it has not been widely studied in the context of conventional wastewater treatment design under Swedish conditions. LÄS MER
8. Indigenous microalgae-activated sludge cultivation system for wastewater treatment
Sammanfattning : The municipal wastewater is mainly composed of water containing anthropogenic wastes that are rich in nutrients such as carbon, nitrogen and phosphorous. The cost for biological treatment of wastewater is increasing globally due to the population growth in urban cities. LÄS MER
9. Preventing pressure ulcers by assessment of the microcirculation in tissue exposed to pressure
Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to combine optical methods into a system with the ability to simultaneously measure blood flow changes at different tissue depths. The goal of such a system was to reveal vascular mechanisms relevant to pressure ulcer etiology under clinically relevant conditions and in relation to the evaluation of pressure-redistribution support surfaces. 10. Feeling and Thinking at Work : Personal and Collective Work-Identity Predictions and Formations
Sammanfattning : The aim of the present thesis was to investigate emotional and cognitive personal and collective work-identity in predicting employees’ work-related motivation, organizational justice perceptions, general mental health and exhaustion; as well as if psychosocial working conditions might explain some of these relationships. Emotion and cognition in formation of personal and collective work-identity were also investigated. LÄS MER
