    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the description and development of two classical turbulent shear flows, namely free jet and flat plate turbulent boundary layer flows. In both cases new experimental data has been obtained and in the latter case comparisons are also made with data obtained from data bases, both of experimental and numerical origin. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The production of forward jets has been measured in deep inelastic $ep$ collisions at HERA. The results are presented in terms of single differential cross sections as a function of the Bjorken scaling variable ($x_{Bj}$) and as triple differential cross sections $d^3 sigma / dx_{Bj}dQ^2dp_{t,jet}^2$, where $Q^2$ is the four momentum transfer squared and $p_{t,jet}^2$ is the squared transverse momentum of the forward jet.     Sammanfattning : The DIS ep-scattering parton dynamics at low-x is characterised by an initial state cascade in which the virtualities of the propagator gluons are expected to take any kinematically allowed value, in contrast to the leading log behaviour.     Sammanfattning : In August 2017 a gravitational wave signal from a binary neutron star merger was detected for the first time, and it was followed by several electromagnetic detections that spanned the whole electromagnetic spectrum. Those observations proved the ejection of two dynamical components: mildly-relativistic neutron rich ejecta and an ultra-relativistic jet. LÄS MER
