1. Crystallization of Metal Fluoride Hydrates from Mixed Acid Solutions
Sammanfattning : In this work crystal growth and nucleation of b-FeF3×3H2O and crystallization of chromium (III), iron (III) and nickel (II) fluoride hydrates from mixed acid (1-3 mol/kg HNO3 and 1-6 mol/kg free HF) have been investigated. The solubility of b-FeF3×3H2O has been determined in solutions of different hydrofluoric acid (1-7mol/ kg) and nitric acid (0-7mol/ kg) concentrations at 30, 40 and 50°C. LÄS MER
2. Trafik- och stadsplanering som en integrerad process? : Om perspektiv och kommunikativa processer i stadsutvecklingen
Sammanfattning : Urban planning and transportation planning through an integrated process? On perspectives and communicative processes in urban development During the last couple of years the need for a better coordination of urban and transportation planning in Sweden has been highlighted at several occasions. In response to this need, the project “The Attractive City” (Den Goda Staden) has been initiated, emphasizing collaboration and communicative processes between actors involved in urban and transportation planning as a means to enhance the potential for an integrated planning. 4. Neighbors at Risk : A Quantitative Study of Civil War Contagion
Sammanfattning : While previous research shows that civil wars can spread to neighboring states, we do not know why certain neighbors are more at risk than others. To address this research gap, this dissertation proposes a contagion process approach that can identify the most likely targets of contagion effects from an ongoing conflict. LÄS MER
5. In Situ Soft X-ray Spectroscopies Applied to Atmospheric Corrosion And Related Systems
Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns the application of various soft x-ray spectroscopic methods (soft x-ray absorption, SXA, and emission, SXE) to complex, non-vacuum compatible systems, including liquids and multi-phase systems. The design, construction, and application of new instrumentation for in situ spectroscopy is described in detail. LÄS MER
