    Sammanfattning : This thesis has analysed the relations among the women’s movement, the state and the labour market policy during and shortly after the Second World War and to what extent this period can be characterised as a formative phase as regards gender relations.     Sammanfattning : The chaebol conglomerates, which constituted the backbone of the "South Korean miracle", became the instrument for economic growth within a framework laid down by the "developmental state".
