  1. 1. Electron Transport in Nanowire Quantum Devices

    Författare :Henrik Nilsson; Fasta tillståndets fysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Superconductivity; Spin-orbit coupling; the Kondo effect; the Zeeman effect; Quantum dots; Nanowire memories; Nanowire transistors; InSb; InAs; Nanowires; Electron transport; Andreev reflections; Nanowire RF-SET; Noise in nanowires;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on electron transport in semiconductor InAs/InP and InSb nanowire quantum devices. However, first the temperature dependence of classical charge transport in InSb nanowire field-effect transistors, FETs, is characterized, using InAs nanowire FETs as a reference. LÄS MER

    Författare :Hanna Egard; Socialhögskolan; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Personal assistance services; personal assistant; personal attendant; consumer direction; disability; ethnography; field study; face-to-face interaction; dramaturgical perspective Erving Goffman; definition of the situation; performance Personlig assistans; Erving Goffman; personlig assistent; brukarstyrning; funktionshinder; etnografi; fältarbete; dramaturgiskt perspektiv; situationsdefinitioner; Erving Goffman; Personal assistance services;

    Sammanfattning : Personal assistance is a user-directed service that was founded by a section of the disability movement, namely the American Independent Living movement, in the late 1960s. Today, the concept and ideology of personal assistance services (PAS) has spread worldwide, and constitutes a part of the support system for people with disabilities in many countries. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Enzyme-Based Amperometric Biosensors in Flow-Systems for Biomolecule Detection

    Författare :Niklas Larsson; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Microdialysis; Liquid chromatography; Flow injection; Polyelectrolytes; Carbohydrate; Mediator; Dehydrogenase; Peroxidase; Oxidase; Enzyme; Amperometric detection; Carbon paste; Biosensor; Graphite electrode; On-line monitoring; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Amperometric enzyme based biosensors were designed, developed and characterised in flow systems. Solid graphite and carbon paste electrodes were used as support for enzyme immobilisation. Both mediated and direct electron transfers between redox enzymes and electrodes were utilised for biosensor construction, as well as coupled enzyme systems. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Electron Tunneling and Field-Effect Devices in mm-Wave Circuits

    Författare :Mikael Egard; Fasta tillståndets fysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; negative differential conductance oscillator; resonant tunneling diode; ultra-wideband; impulse radio; Wavelet generator; MOSFET; nanowire; high frequency characterization; Fysicumarkivet A:2012:Egard;

    Sammanfattning : Short high-frequency electromagnetic pulses, also referred to as wavelets, are considered for use in various short-range impulse based ultra-wideband applications, such as communication, imaging, radar, spectroscopy, and localization. This thesis investigates field-effect and tunneling based semiconductor devices and their operation in millimeter-wave (mm-wave) impulse transceivers. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Structural and functional studies of factor V in health and disease

    Författare :Mårten Steen; Malmö Klinisk kemi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Klinisk kemi; Clinical chemistry; APC resistance and hemophilia; thrombosis; factor VIII; coagulation; factor V;

    Sammanfattning : The homologous blood coagulation factors V (FV) and factor VIII (FVIII) are important at sites of vascular injury for the amplification of the clotting cascade. Activated FV (FVa) serves as a cofactor to the enzyme activated factor X (FXa) in the activation of prothrombin. This complex is called the prothrombinase complex. LÄS MER
