  1. 6. A phylogenetic analysis of rasborin fishes (Teleostei, Cyprinidae)

    Författare :Te-Yu Liao; Sven Kullander; Paul Skelton; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Rasbora; Chedrina; Danionina; Danionini; Rasborini; Danioninae; Opsariichthyinae; Cyprinidae; Cypriniformes; phylogeny; systematics; Africa; Asia; Systematic Zoology; zoologisk systematik och evolutionsforskning;

    Sammanfattning : The Danioninae (sensu lato) were until recently considered to be a paraphyletic group, comprising about 200 species and distributed over Africa and southern and eastern Asia. There was no morphological diagnosis for the Danioninae, and also the composition of the subfamily, and the interrelationships of included genera have been contentious. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Morphology, Taxonomy and Interrelationships of Tristichopterid Fishes (Sarcopterygii, Tetrapodomorpha)

    Författare :Daniel Snitting; Per Erik Ahlberg; Graham Budd; Henning Blom; Zerina Johanson; Uppsala universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : Tristichopterids (Sarcopterygii, Tetrapodomorpha) form a monophyletic group of exclusively Devonian fishes. This thesis consists of descriptions of new material of tristichopterids and closely related taxa, as well as new interpretations and descriptions of previously figured material. LÄS MER

    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; zoologi; Zoology;

    Sammanfattning : The major androgen in male teleost fishes is 11-ketotestosterone (11KT) and not testosterone (T) as in mammals. 11KT has often been found to be more effective than T in stimulating teleost male secondary sexual characters (SSC's). LÄS MER
